Brooklyn College
At Brooklyn College, University Scholars join the Honors Academy, a family of students in eight honors programs that share a student commons room, study space, and faculty offices. Scholars study, work, and play on Brooklyn’s beautifully landscaped 26-acre campus. The newly renovated library is a hub of student life, as is the popular Library Café, open 24 hours, seven days a week. Located in the heart of the borough, the campus brings together a student body as diverse as Brooklyn itself. In addition to academic pursuits, they join in a broad array of extra- curricular activities, clubs, organizations, and cultural events.
Known for its commitment to the liberal arts, Brooklyn College offers more than one hundred degree programs and concentrations in a wide range of fields. Attesting to its strength in the creative and performing arts, the College has its own Conservatory of Music, along with outstanding departments in Art and Theater. Students interested in media-related fields can major in Journalism, Television and Radio, or Film.
Other popular majors at the College include Business, Psychology, Computer and Information Science (CIS), and Education.
