Enjoying the beautiful weather this winter? If January is any indication, New York is on track to have the mildest winter in years. But in 1979 this was definitely not the case. February 18 of that year was the coldest day ever recorded in New York State. The temperature in Old Forge, NY, dropped to -50.8 degrees Fahrenheit!
