Let’s Get Ready Summer 2012 Paid Site Director

Facilitate the Let’s Get Ready college access program for high school students.

Let's Get Ready's mission is to empower high school students in underserved communities in the college application process.  This includes intensive SAT preparation, career exploration questions, a SAT registration workshop, and picking target schools to apply to.  The success of LGR in the past has been built on the relationships between the college-aged coaches and directors, who have just gone through the admissions process, and the high school students who they inspire.

Two Directors will work on-site to facilitate the free Let’s Get Ready college access program.  The LGR Site Directors are dynamic and motivated undergraduate students who direct the LGR program from recruitment of students and coaches to implementation and delivery of services.

 Responsibilities include:

• Develop a strategic plan to recruit coaches and high school students.

• Manage program operations.

• Facilitate relationships between students and coaches.

• Lead training meetings and group discussions.

• Participate in leadership training opportunities.

• Complete general program maintenance tasks.

• Develop a major college exploration project within the program.

SALARY:  $1750-$2250

DATES:  May 21-August 31

Current undergraduates (or students who graduate in June 2012) are eligible.
