Application for Admission to Dr. David Petraeus’ Fall 2013 Course

In August 2013, David Petraeus will join Macaulay Honors College as a Visiting Professor. Dr. Petraeus received his Ph.D. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He later served as Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy and also completed a fellowship at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.

He will be teaching a fall seminar examining the developments that could position the United States—and its North American partners—to lead the world out of the current global economic slowdown. This course will focus on diverse subjects: energy, life sciences, manufacturing and information technology.

Enrollment in this course is limited to sixteen students. Dr. Petraeus is looking for students with an appetite for reading and synthesizing large quantities of technical information—and then working together to determine the policies and practices that will best enable the United States to capitalize upon the present opportunities. Excellent writing and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work well as part of a team.

To apply for admission to this course, please submit the following materials by May 15, 2013.
