Beginning immediately (February 2008), all University Scholars must complete a minimum of 10 hours of Community Service per year during each of their first three years in Macaulay Honors College.
University Scholars are encouraged to complete more than the minimum number of hours every year as well as to continue their Community Service during their senior year. Students who do not complete the required 30 hours by the first day of classes of their senior year will not be allowed further access to their Opportunities Fund.
This change applies to all University Scholars after the Class of 2008. If University Scholars are enrolled at a college whose Community Service requirement is greater than Macaulay’s, that college’s policy will continue to take precedence.
