Cultural Passport

The Cultural Passport

Use the entire city as your campus and explore its artistic and cultural riches with your Cultural Passport. This special identification card may be presented at any of the participating cultural institutions for free admission or very discounted tickets. Throughout your four years, you will continue to find the Cultural Passport useful in expanding your awareness of the diverse cultural life of the city with institutions that focus on history, science, culture, and the arts.

The curriculum of your first seminar, "The Arts in New York City," provides many opportunities for you to use your Cultural Passport at concerts, operas, theatrical events, and museum exhibits. Once you are familiar with Cultural Passport institutions and organizations through your course work, continue using it.

The Cultural Passport is your key to unlocking the treasures stored in buildings, landmarks and communities all around New York City. The CP gives you access to this extraordinarily diverse and vital city through gardens, galleries, traveling exhibitions and beyond. You have in your hands the potential to visit an Irish tenement, to learn about Tibetan art or see the art gems hidden in Flushing Meadows Park, and much more. The Cultural Passport exists to spark you, the next generation of creators, to positively impact our communities.

Below is the list of institutions that are participating in the Cultural Passport Program for the 2011-2012 academic year:
