Class of 2018 Orientation

Congratulations to the Macaulay Honors College Class of 2018!

We look forward to seeing you and to sharing your experiences as Macaulay Honors College freshmen.

IMPORTANT: We need several pieces of information from you before orientation activities. Please do not delay these (and please remember that participation in orientation is expected of all incoming freshmen):

  1. Please complete the online survey.
Class of 2018 Orientation Questionnaire »

  2. Upload a photo for your Macaulay Cultural Passport ID »

You will need to send us a clear, updated picture of yourself, which will be used to create your Macaulay/Cultural Passport. This ID card will allow you access into the Macaulay building AND provide you with amazing access to many of New York¹s cultural riches during your time as a Macaulay Honors College scholar. Please send your picture, along with any updated contact information (such as a new email address or phone number) no later than August 15th.

For photo guidelines, you can refer to the U.S. Department of State's Passport Photo picture taking tool.

Please note that the Cultural Passport photo is a Macaulay Honors College requirement and the preferred use of ID for many academic and cultural events. You will receive your Cultural Passport ID card along with your laptop on Tech Day.

Please check the links below for more information about all the orientation events, and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Please note that no Macaulay Honors College events are scheduled for August 27th, however, it is likely that each home campus will be scheduling its own events on that day, and your attendance will be expected.

The final Orientation item also happens to be your first Macaulay Common Event:

Macaulay Night at the Museum – Wednesday, September 3, 7:00pm

An exclusive welcome to the Class of 2018 at the Brooklyn Museum, and an introduction to the experience of art and its role in the life of the city

Please be on the lookout for further details, coming to you, soon, from Associate Dean Ugoretz.
