In order to submit an Opportunities Fund Application, you must meet the following criteria:
You must be a matriculated Honors College student in good standing* (as defined by Macaulay Honors College) to apply for the Opportunities Fund. Students who extend their time in Macaulay for more than four years, whether funded or unfunded, are not eligible.
*Students on probation are not eligible to apply for the Opportunities Fund.
You must complete and pass the Opportunities Fund Online Quiz.
Your FAFSA, and TAP for the current academic year (for NY State Residents only), must be on file and fully processed when your Opportunities Fund Application is submitted.
All of your prior Opportunities Fund expenditures (if any) must be properly documented. This means that you must have submitted all required receipts or other relevant documentation.
You must have remaining funds within your yearly limits:
Freshmen may begin to apply for funding during the spring access period of their freshman year, for an advance only. These funds may only be used for activities taking place during the summer between the freshman and sophomore year.
Seniors in their last semester can only apply for reimbursements. The Opportunities Fund Program will not fund any items that take place after a student graduates.
Seniors must have completed 30 hours of Community Service by the first day of classes of their senior year.
See the Funded Activities Page for detailed explanations all requirements.
