Neighborhood impacts of informal tourist housing

Congratulations on your community board presentations yesterday! You were able to make lively the quotidian workings of neighborhood democracy in New York City – no small feat!

These seemingly small issues can contain a lot within them, as you showed us. On that note, here is a recent article (about New Orleans) that may shed light on why some Harlem residents are opposed to renting neighborhood housing to tourists.

I am a PhD candidate in Geography at the CUNY Graduate Center where I research neoliberalism, settler colonialism, and the production of space.
