As a baby, before I was even walking or talking, you could always find me with a crayon in my hand. Both of these pictures were made before the age of seven.

As the years passed, I continued this hobby throughout my whole life, whether it be for school work or for fun at home. Most of my pictures were of reproductions of other works.

This picture was for an assignment in my sophmore art class. Half the picture is a cut out from a magazine and the other half is my drawing with pencil to complete it.

This picture was drawn at home when I was ten years old. It is a reproduction of an image found on one of my mom's notepads.

This painting was hanging in my house and as a bored ten year old kid, I decided to attempt to replicate it.

Not only was drawing a big part of my life growing up, but also painting ceramics. Almost all of my birthday parties in elementary school were trips to the plaster gallery. But even as a teenager, I still continued painting ceramics.

As a big New York Yankee fan, of course I had to include something in my ePortfolio about the team. This was painted at my tenth birthday party. Although it may look a little sloppy and definetly the wrong colors, it is still hanging up in my room.

I have also experimented with other mediums of making art. One interesting idea I have used is pasting pieces of magazines for color to create an image.

I created this picture for my sophmore year art class. The project was to incorporate the theme Coca Cola into a piece of art to be submitted for a national contest.

The next three pictures is an interesting alternating series of the same photo.

The first picture is a replication of an old photo using only a pencil for shading.

  • During my four years of high school, I have used drawing for different depictions of ancient art.

This picture was a replication of a photograph of a cave drawing. It is drawn with oil pastels on paper.

Using watercolors and markers, this picture is of my name in ancient Egyptian hyroglyphics.

Using another way of producting art, I used a scratchboard to draw an ancient Greek vase.

Finally, my last group of pictures includes art work of my neighborhood that I have been living in all my life.

Although this is not a drawing like the rest of my pictures, this photograph is the picture I used to represent my neighbor hood in my Snapshot NYC project. The caption of my photo on the Macaulay gallery site said "You haven't visited Brooklyn until you tasted the pizza at L&B! In my Gravesend neighborhood in Brooklyn, L&B Spumoni Gardens is a landmark where I have grown up and had fun. "

This last painting is one of my favorites and is hanging up in my kitchen.
