Victor V. Gurbo has been an aspiring artist since he stumbled from the womb. He’s worked with such mediums as painting, drawing, sculpture, lithography, photography, digital, and human faces. His artwork has been featured in the English Major’s Zine and the HAAC Art Catalog at Brooklyn College, and has peices hanging in Bay Ridge Prep. and Brooklyn College. Gurbo has also done album and promotional art for The Energy.

Music
Victor V. Gurbo sets catcalls to music. He has been influenced by such artists as Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, and various folk and blues ancients. Gurbo has been writing songs since seventeen, and has performed at venues like the MHC Arts Night, and won the Brooklyn College Battle of the Bands with local rock group First Men In Space. He is currently working with another local artist, Tim Clarke mastermind behind the Demand for Cheaper Money.

Writing
Victor V. Gurbo started out burning books for a living. Influenced by a copious number of authors, varying from Shakespeare to Albee, he writes short stories, novels, novellas, poems, plays and epics. Driven mad by tainted moonshine, Gurbo has been published in Creative Communication (2007), The English Major’s Zine (2009), the Prep Gazette (2007-08) and received the Mark McAuley and Vernon Lattin Scholarship Award for Creative Writing (2009).
