I went to Brooklyn Tech, and so, all four years of my high school life consisted of three things: homework, exams, and projects. According to my teachers, the ridiculous workload was supposed to help me experience college life before we actually enter college. Boy, are they wrong...
I think college is so much more relax. I mean, I get this three-hour break two times a week, and I only have four classes in total! There is a setback though, three out of my four classes are extremely boring! For instance, I've never, ever fell asleep in any of my classes until now, in college! I just couldn't get through the professor droning on and on about atomic orbitals or the integral of sin(x). But, thankfully, there's this class!
Everyday is fun, fun, fun in Professor Judell's class. We get to watch movies, tell jokes, learn to dance, and draw on teh board. It's like having a nice break in between two boring classes! Although sometimes I wish that Professor Judell would ask me some serious, and intelligent questions rather than, "Elaine, why are you crossing your arms?" or "Did you know there are actually intelligent people in this class, Elaine?" I mean, I want to show off my brilliance by answering real, important questions instead of looking stupid nodding my head to weird comments.
But aside from that, I still get to show my super writing skills (no, just kidding) in those fun essays. Instead of writing a 10-page research paper or a 8-page thesis, I actually got to write about things that I care about! Oh, and all those trips to the opera, the art galleries, Broadway shows? They were awesome! I've never done those things, and didn't know about all these incredible stuff in NYC, until the class!
