If you think about, society has always has it's rights and wrongs. And those are the absolute truths of that era. For example, 600 years ago, everyone believed that the earth was flat, and even before that people knew that the earth was the center of the universe.

Let's take that thinking, the thinking that what people KNEW was true during their time period was wrong, and apply it to our generation. We know that polygamy is wrong. But how do we KNOW it? How can be so sure that polygamy is wrong? If people in the past were wrong about what they believed, then why is it that we can't be wrong? And if we can be wrong, then why are we right? Don't get me wrong, all I am isĀ  the devil's advocate.

The question arises, is what is RIGHT, always the opposite of wrong? Or can something be right, but at the same time wrong? And at this point, every single one of us reading this will come to the conclusion that we have no answer. And that is the fact of life, of the ages, that we do not have an answer of any such question that we pose today. That we do NOT know what absolute truth is, or if it even exists because what is Absolute? How do we define it? How much proof do we need to know that it is indeed absolute?

Let's examine the laws of today. Our laws about explicit material are actually written so that they are based on "contemporary society". Even our laws are based on the modern day society, and not on what we believe to be absolute truth because we don't know what it is. Society has kept changing it's mind about what is right and wrong like an ADD patient, it will never stick to one thing.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is the sad fact that we all have to live with. There is no absolute truth, let alone "truth" existing. Because in the end, slavery was legal 200 years ago but is illegal and looked down upon now. So 200 years from now, what we KNOW is wrong, child pornography, polygamy might just be right.
