This tattoo can be found on the upper right shoulder of my favorite lead vocalist, Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday. the drawing depicts a typical heart shape wrapped in barbed wire and set on fire.

My name is Kimberly Charnovesky. I am currently a freshman in the Macaulay honors program pursuing a major in computer science. Something many people may not know about myself is i have been a cheerleader for 7 years through an island- wide program called Staten Island Elite. cheerleading has become a passion of mine and a very important part of my life. I am a member of the Staten Island Elite Diamonds team, ranging from ages 16+. This program contains 5 highly competitive teams. we are required to learns a routine comprised of both dance and cheer as well as a gymnastics component. I have traveled to numerous areas in order to compete. These places include Virginia, Maryland, Philadelphia, Washington, Florida, Massachusetts, and Hershey. my team consists of 32 teenage girls. many have been cheering since they were approximately 3 years old through to present time. However I began cheering upon entering the sixth grade. i originally attended try outs for my school team and received a position of the junior varsity squad. after proving my potential to my coach and program director, my two best friends and i were introduced to the Staten Island Elite Program. Being apart of this team has been, in my opinion, both a fun and rewarding experience. I have been fortunate to form a strong bond with my teammates and the understand satisfaction of hard-work and perseverance. Cheerleading has taught me valuable lessons in working together and overcoming obstacles. i will continue to grow and learn from my experiences with this program and I am truly grateful I was given this opportunity.
