Final Work Checklist or Things You Need to Do to Complete the Seminar

1. Upload your digital story (the Where I’m From video) to our site on YouTube.

2. Upload the text of your poem to the blog under Digital Story Links.

3. Complete all blog posts, especially on the opera and The Break of Noon. If you missed one of these events, you need to post a description of a recent visit to a museum in NYC under “Visits to Museums.” No other visits need to be added.

4.  Complete the cultural arts project by writing an introduction to your work and then meeting with Sam to upload to the blog. Please address the following questions:

What did you do? What was your focus? Why or in what ways does your choice qualify as an art form? In other words, how is your choice an expression of a particular culture? What have you learned by engaging in this project?  DUE DEC. 16

4. Write a final reflection about the seminar. Here is what I’d like you to do:
Revisit the blog: look at the photos, the videos, the different responses to articles and events. Then write about your journey through the arts of New York City. You can address the following questions in any way you like:
What have you learned this term about yourself, about others in the class and about the arts? What are you taking away from this seminar? What final words do you have for me and your for your classmates? If you like, you can do this as a video but you need to let me know and you need to work with Sam to make sure it is uploaded to YouTube.  DUE DEC. 20 or earlier.

Have a great holiday.

After taking this class I realized that I enjoy working with the computer more than I knew (thanks to iMovie). I was exposed to more art – in every shape and form – than ever before, and I enjoyed it. I just want to say this class was fun because of Proffesor Perl and my classmates!
