When adding photos to your site, make sure that you are using the “visual” display, not the “text” display. This will allow you to drag and drop, or add media.
iPhoto If you want to change various aspects of your photos, you can do so by adding them to iPhoto by dragging and dropping them. Once you do that, you can access your photos in Photos or Events. Then select a photo, choose Photo < Edit Photo. You have a choice of “Quick Fixes”, “Effects”, or “Adjust”. “Effects” includes a dozen or so effects that can be chosen with one click. “Adjust” allows you to make more in depth changes to your photos such as exposure, contrast, and saturation.
