Editing post content

==Adding links==

To add a link, highlight the link text and click on the “add link” button in editing toolbar.

You will now see the “Add/Edit Link” dialog.  Enter the link URL.   Under the target drop down you can decide whether you want the link to open in the same or different window.

You can always edit these settings by moving the cursor onto the link and clicking on the link toolbar item.  This will bring you back to the “Insert/edit link” dialog.

==Pasting from Microsoft Word==

Sometimes it’s easier to write your posts in Microsoft Word and then copy them over to the blog.  While it may be tempting to just paste the text directly in the text editor, Word inserts a great deal of extraneous text that can alter your post’s appearance.  It’s far preferable to paste text from word using the “Paste from Word” toolbar item.

Now paste the text in the “Paste from Word” dialog and click on the “Insert” button.  The text will appear (although sometimes imperfectly) including tables.  Paste from Word will not copy over images.  See heading below on how to insert images.

== Viewing Full Screen ==

When typing in an entry it is sometimes helpful to remove all of the extraneous buttons, textboxes, and other architecture from the screen  view more of your text at a single time.  To do so you can enter full screen mode by clicking on the “Toggle fullscreen mode” link on the toolbar.
