The Macaulay Advising Program (MAP) is comprehensive, holistic, and based on your unique academic interests and goals.

Your Macaulay Honors Advisor, located on your campus, helps you chart your own learning program from hundreds of programs and departments offered across the CUNY system.

In addition to undergraduate courses, your individualized learning program can include graduate courses and mentoring, internships and independent study, and research and doctoral courses at the CUNY Graduate Center and other leading programs around New York City and around the globe.

queens studentLauren Talerman ’08 (Political Science and Anthropology double major, Arabic minor, Queens College) Lauren intends to pursue a PhD in Middle Eastern Studies. She is is fluent in Hebrew and Spanish, and is in the process of learning Arabic. She is a National Hispanic Scholar, a Mellon Scholar and a Kenan Scholar. She is the News Editor for the Queens College newspaper, co-edits the Journal of Jewish Studies, and serves in student government. Lauren was awarded the NSEP/David L. Boren Scholarship for Undergraduate Study Abroad in Egypt, where she lived for seven weeks completing coursework at the University of Cairo. “It was an opportunity to gain information and insight into the politics of the region,” Lauren said. She spent last summer in Morocco, where she gathered data for her senior thesis.
