“Ecosystems of Democracy” will offer an intensive seminar on the current state of democracy in the United States and around the world. How did the world’s most famous defender of democracy become so divided along fault lines of politics, culture and the teaching of history? What can a close study of American history teach us about the ups and downs of democracy? How can a new generation improve upon the mistakes of earlier generations and build a pragmatic approach to democracy for the years ahead?
