On Saturday, May 16 at 7pm the Macaulay Honors College New Media Lab will present the 12th Annual CUNY Film Festival Awards ceremony. The event will be presented online at www.cunyff.org. There will be a total of 11 awards presented in this abbreviated event.

The CUNY Film Festival is the largest and longest-running student-produced film festival of its kind. It was established in 2009 by a group of Macaulay Honors College students to provide a forum for the CUNY filmmaking community: celebrate the diversity of its artistic voices, highlight its creative contributions to filmmaking, and encourage professional connections. The festival as grown since its grassroots beginnings, attracting more entries and attendees than ever in 2019. Macaulay New Media and Digital Content Lab Director Robert Small provides oversight for the festival.

Students and volunteers have been working tirelessly to organize the festival this year given our inability to meet and screen films publicly due to the Coronavirus restrictions.

The judging for the festival was organized and completed online with 30 industry professionals, CUNY Professors, students and staff participating. For more information go to www.cunyff.org
