Industry Talks: A Networking Night With Consulting Professionals

A Networking Night with Consulting Professionals from Deloitte, EY-Parthenon, Kitamba, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, and Thrivos Consulting LLC. After a panel discussion, students have the opportunity to meet each of our speakers face to face (virtually) for insight into the consulting industry.

Speakers:

Alex Bardeguez
Director, Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE), EY-Parthenon

Alex is a Director with EY-Parthenon and has provided strategy consulting services to domestic clients across various industries.​ Alex is currently serving on a carve out of a $26.2B business leading the Commercial and LE readiness workstream. Additionally, Alex has worked on one of the biggest advanced manufacturing deals in history helping the client stand up on it’s own as a new independent company. A graduate of California State University – Northridge with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.


Patrick Keane
Manager, Strategy, KPMG

Patrick Keane is Strategy Consultant at KPMG focused on Health Sciences. He graduated from Vanderbilt in 2009 where he studied History. He started his consulting career at Booz Allen, then made his way to GLG from SF to NYC. He’s been at KPMG for a little over a year and has a wide array of experience that he’s excited to share.


Penny Phillips
Founder, Thrivos Consulting LLC

Penny Phillips is the co-founder and President of Journey Strategic Wealth, A New York based Registered Investment Advisor and the founder of Thrivos Consulting, a New York based consulting firm focusing in the wealth management space. Prior to launching her companies, Penny worked as Director of Practice Management at a number of firms including including industry-leading fintech company, Envestnet. She is a recognized speaker in the financial services industry & is known for her “real-talk” approach to consulting. She earned her degrees in Corporate Finance and Economics from the Macaulay Honors College in 2010. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and sleeping.


Caro Ribeiro
Senior Business Analyst – Recruiting Rotation, McKinsey & Company

Caro Ribeiro is a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. She graduated from Harvard in 2018, where she studied Sociology. Her client work has spanned a variety of industries, including healthcare, public finance, and aerospace & defense. Currently, she is on rotation with McKinsey’s North America recruiting team to help make the hiring process more inclusive. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, improv, and making TikToks about movies.


Mike Temba
Manager, Finance & Enterprise Performance, Deloitte

Mike is a Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Finance & Enterprise Performance practice with over 14 years of experience providing strategic direction, technology enhancement and transformation to finance organizations within the utility industry. Mike has led large scale finance transformation programs, FP&A projects, process improvement initiatives and ERP implementations. Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Morehouse College and an MBA in Accounting from Baruch College.


Katie Thaeder
Director Of Operations, Kitamba

Katie oversees internal operations at Kitamba. She previously worked as Director of Operations at Leadership Prep Canarsie Middle Academy in Brooklyn, New York. In this role, Katie served as a co-leader of the charter school, with responsibilities including finance, data management, human resources, technology, facilities management and school culture. Katie began her career in the charter school accountability office for Chicago Public Schools and was an Education Pioneer at the Academy for Urban School Leadership. She also brings experience as a consultant with Spencer Stuart, a search and leadership consulting firm. Katie earned her B.A. in History from Princeton University and her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She is passionate about her work because she believes every child deserves a seat at the table.
