Industry Talks: A Networking Night With Tech Professionals

A Networking Night with Tech Professionals from a variety of companies. After a panel discussion, students had the opportunity to meet each of our speakers face to face (virtually) for insight into the tech industry.

Seating is limited. Please register. CUNY students and alumni are welcomed to attend as well.

Speakers:

Chedro Cardenas
.NET Developer, Revature

Chedro Cardenas is a Peruvian system engineer experienced in retail, loss prevention, and operations in the financial industry. With over 10 years of experience in one of the major banks in the United States, he occupied management positions driven by his passion for developing and inspiring individuals to think outside of the box and achieve their career and personal goals. Chedro joined Revature as a full-stack .NET developer and was promoted to a management position within Revature’s Staging team, handling the critical client interview and deployment portion of the Revature associate life cycle.


Jennifer Heermance
Staging Manager, Revature

Jennifer Heermance, Revature Staging manager, values compassion, integrity, and transparency when assisting her employees as they navigate the Revature marketing process. Whether she is preparing them for interviews, helping them explore various facets of professionalism, or meeting with other departments to assess client and employee fitness, she prioritizes the success of her employees. Jennifer thoroughly enjoys solving puzzles, such as escape rooms and murder mysteries, and spends her weekends with her friends and her dog.


Matthew Peppler
Software Engineering Recruiting, Bloomberg LP

Matt Peppler (He/Him) is a Diversity Program Manager & Technical Recruiter for Bloomberg Engineering. Matt studied Business Administration and Management at Oregon State University before starting a career in recruiting at Aerotek. After two years for recruiting in the Architecture and Construction Industry, Matt moved into tech by securing a position as a Campus Recruiter within Google. During the first few months of his time at Google he showed a passion and skill for recruiting individuals from under represented backgrounds. Matt was then invited to join the first Diversity Engineering Campus Recruitment team at Google. After two years, Matt made the transition to his current role at Bloomberg.


Adarsh Sinha
Full-Stack Software Engineer, Google

Adarsh Sinha is a full-stack Software Engineer at Google on the Ad Manager team, working there for the last 4 years. Adarsh received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017 before moving to New York to work at Google. He spends his free time working on hobby projects, playing video/board games, mentoring, binging shows, and being an avid Marvel Cinematic Universe geek!
