2018 BioBlitz location at Inwood Hill Park

ATTENTION FRIENDS OF MACAULAY:

We invite you to witness experiential learning firsthand and explore urban nature at Inwood Hill Park.

Our entire Sophomore class will be in the park to conduct our annual bioblitz, working alongside renowned scientists to survey every organism they can: birds, berries, bats and butterflies and more.

Bring your smartphone and join us in the field. A Macaulay faculty member will make a brief presentation and share more info about this educational activity.

Inwood Hill Park is a magical part of Manhattan, with old growth forests, Native American sites, and even a salt marsh.

The activities will involve moving around the park, sometimes on uneven terrain, walking on off-path and possibly wet areas. Some activities may require stooping, bending, and working close to the ground. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended.

We look forward to seeing you uptown. (Please note this event is separate from student BioBlitz registration.)

Macaulay 2018 BioBlitz is generously sponsored by ConEdison.
