Journey in Virtual Reality

Michael Owen from the Augmented and Virtual Reality production company Media Combo will take students on a journey into the virtual universe. With so much talk about the Metaverse…What does it really mean? What is virtual reality?

In this limited attendance event, participants will put on (provided) headsets to experience and learn the difference between the three main types of VR. Together we will explore how this immersive technology will revolutionize storytelling, gaming, and communication in the very near future. Participants will have an opportunity to consider and discuss how immersive technology may apply to their daily lives and careers.

Due to the specialized equipment we can only take 8 students at one time on each journey. There will be 2 launches into the virtual world on Saturday April 15, and 2 on Sunday April 16 at Macaulay Honors College, 35 West 67th Street, New York, 10023. So come on board and travel the world while sitting in the Macaulay building…look forward to seeing you in-person
