Hunter College President Ann Kirschner hosts the Roosevelt House series, Mapping the Future of Higher Ed, presented by Hunter College and Macaulay Honors College.

John Mogulescu, author of The Dean of New Things: Bringing Change to CUNY and New York City in conversation with Dara Byrne, Dean of Macaulay Honors College.

John Mogulescu uses the story of his unusual career to consider how change–difficult but necessary–can happen in higher education. He and his team created two innovative colleges and dozens of programs that dramatically increased student success. Offering useful object lessons, the book illustrates how colleges and universities can define their mission far more broadly and argues that they should. Doing so will demand of university leaders something they often advocate but may be hard-pressed to achieve–innovation and change.

Reception and book signing will follow.

Free and open to all. Warm thanks to Anthony E. Meyer, Chair of the Macaulay Honors College Foundation.
