About Matt Hanczor:

Matt Hanczor leads the Machine Learning for Motion Generation group at Nuro as a part of their autonomous driving research program. His team is focused on leveraging deep learning and big data analysis to produce sophisticated driving behaviors in challenging real-world scenarios.

He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, and a masters in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute. He is a fellowship recipient from the Department of Energy for research in developing robots for the U.S. nuclear complex, and is an inventor on multiple patents from his past work in biomedical and tech startups.
