About Assistant Dean Veronica Maldonado

Veronica Maldonado, the Assistant Dean for Student Services at Macaulay Honors College began her career in higher education over 15 years ago at the City University of New York (CUNY). Veronica served the Brooklyn College community at the Financial Aid Office assisting students in obtaining employment opportunities, on and off-campus through the Federal Work-Study program. Her interest in the student experience led to her placement as an Academic Advisor at Brooklyn College. As a product of the CUNY education system, she understood the privilege of guiding students towards pursuing their personal, academic and career aspirations. For over ten years, Ms. Maldonado has had the honor of working with scholars at Macaulay Honors College. In this capacity she oversees scholarships, international education, student development, advisement, and career services. These areas overlap to provide students with high impact experiences that support their varied interests and goals.

Veronica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Brooklyn College. She is deeply committed to CUNY’s mission of academic excellence, equal access and opportunity.
