About Lauren Vriens
Lauren Vriens is an entrepreneur, startup advisor, and business strategy consultant. She advises Fortune 500 companies as part of Accenture’s strategy practice. Previously, she led national strategy and business operations and served as general manager for Revel, an electric mobility startup.

In the past, Lauren worked in government helping startups expand internationally and connecting founders to venture capital firms. Prior to that, she led the team that negotiated the end of coal power in Alberta, Canada, the first jurisdiction in the world to do so in partnership with private utility companies. She began her career as a Fulbright Fellow in the Middle East researching failed economic development policies.

She graduated in 2010 from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter with a BA in Political Science and Arabic. In her free time, she is launching a platform that is revolutionizing how people treat their mental health and tweets about starting startups @laurenvriens.
