Being a Macaulay Scholars Council member makes a difference! More than just a student government body, the Macaulay Honors Council is an important and influential voice of the Macaulay student body at CUNY. The MSC and its members develop and support some of Macaulay’s traditional community events. Representatives are needed for all four classes, at all eight campuses. Want to become an MSC member for 2017-2018? Here’s how:

STEP 1:
Submit a statement of interest here by 11:59pm, September 8th, 2017. All candidates, new and incumbent, must send a statement. Your statement will be shared with all student voters, so include details that highlight your leadership skills and the theme of your candidacy. Here’s a sample. Please include any pictures as a separate attachment.

STEP 2:
Candidate statements will be on display. Your fellow students will use the statements to decide how to vote.

STEP 3:
Voting takes place Monday, September 11th – Sunday, September 17th at 11:59PM. During this election period all students will be invited via email to cast their votes online for a candidate in the same campus and class.

STEP 4:
Monday, September 18th winners announced!

STEP 5:
Meet your fellow Macaulay Scholars Council representatives at the first (and MANDATORY) meeting, September 24th  and Scholars Council Retreat on September 23rd.
