Being a Macaulay Scholars Council member makes a difference! More than just a student government body, the Macaulay Honors Council is an important and influential voice of the Macaulay student body at CUNY. The MSC and its members develop and support some of Macaulay’s traditional community events. You can view the full duties of the council and Scholars Council Charter here.

  • Freshmen Class Mixer

Representatives are needed for all four classes, at all eight campuses. Want to become an MSC member for 2018-2019? Here’s how:

STEP 1:
Submit a statement of interest between Monday, March 12th and Friday, April 6th.  All candidates, new and incumbent, must send a statement. Your statement will be shared with all student voters, so include details that highlight your leadership skills and the theme of your candidacy. Here’s a sample.

STEP 2:
Candidate statements will be on view. Your fellow students will use the statements to decide how to vote.

STEP 3:
Voting will take place from Monday, April 16th – Sunday, April 22nd. During this election period all students will be invited via email to cast their votes online for a candidate in the same campus and class.

STEP 4:
On Monday, April 23rd, the winners announced!

STEP 5:
Meet your fellow Macaulay Scholars Council representatives at the first (and MANDATORY) meeting on Tuesday May 29th at 11:00am. The newly elected members of the Macaulay Scholars Council will vote on their President and Vice President Positions!

In order to run for the executive board, you must first be elected to serve as the representative of your campus/class!
