Shania Persaud

Hey Baruch 2025! I am Shania Persaud, your current Macaulay Class of 2025 Representative at Baruch. Serving you over the past three years has been a genuine pleasure, and I am excited to announce my candidacy once again to represent your voices on the council.

In the previous year, I had the honor of leading as the President of the Macaulay Scholars Council. During my tenure, I:
– Implemented a cohort event policy to bring Macaulay to the home campuses
– Partnered with two other Macaulay clubs to organize a sporting event for all CUNY students
– Worked closely with Dean Byrne to increase paid learning opportunities for students, including initiatives like the Restorative Justice Practice and Design for America Resiliency Lab
– Actively engaged in several meetings with the Macaulay administration, board officials, and other stakeholders to advocate for student needs

If re-elected, I will continue my dedication in fostering a sense of community at Baruch and across the eight CUNY campuses. I will also continue my efforts in advocating for students, particularly ensuring that the graduating class of 2025 has an incredible senior year! Your support in re-electing me would be greatly appreciated as I continue to serve as your representative.

Vote Shania Persaud for MSC Rep between Wednesday, March 20th and Monday, April 8! Thank you!!
