Geoffrey joined Macaulay in March of 2017. With his arrival, two departments (Advancement and Marketing/Communications) were combined to create External Relations, a department which now numbers 11 staff members and encompasses fundraising, media relations, public outreach, and student recruitment. Under Geoffrey’s leadership, Macaulay has launched an annual Opportunities Gala, an alumni Fall Fete, a corporate sponsorship program, and a Parents’ Council. His team has developed a new seal for the College, produced the first annual report in over five years, updated the logo and enhanced the overall design standards of Macaulay’s print and electronic materials. The initial results have been encouraging: fundraising more than doubled at the end of his first full year and the total number of donors increased by nearly 50%.
Since completing his graduate studies, Geoffrey has devoted his career to supporting mission-based organizations across a range of sectors including education, culture, and humanitarian aid. His experience in higher education began with nearly a decade at Bank Street College of Education, included teacher training collaborations (with CUNY and other institutions) at Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education, and with NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts.
