Logan McBride is a historian who researches the origins of mass incarceration. She earned her PhD in history from the CUNY Graduate Center, and currently holds a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Justice at Columbia University. She has recently had the privilege of collaborating with Ronald Kitchen on his memoir, My Midnight Years: Surviving Jon Burge’s Police Torture Ring and Death Row (Chicago Review Press, August 2018). Logan holds an MA in education and taught social studies for several years in a Bronx public high school before pursuing her doctoral work.
