Mollie Aklepi is a Social Work Intern currently attending Columbia University for Advanced Clinical Practice and therapy. She has experience working in the wellness center of her undergraduate university, Florida State, doing wellness programming and peer therapy. Mollie also worked as a Social Work Intern for NYC Housing Preservation and Development Housing Shelter doing case management and therapy for residents. She also holds an internship position at Everytown for Gun Safety working on a program that would connect survivors of gun violence to each other for peer support. She uses a collaborative approach with individuals in therapy, wellness programming, and case management, believing that individuals are the experts of their own lives. Mollie plans to achieve her license to practice clinical social work after graduation from her social work master’s. Outside of work, Mollie loves to play with her cat, spend time outside with friends, and eat gluten free desserts.
