Victoria Hendel works in the Wellness Center at Macaulay Honors College as a Mental Health Counseling Intern. She is currently completing her graduate studies at Teachers College, Columbia University in their psychological counseling program. She has completed coursework in Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Career Counseling, Adult Psychopathology and Psychological Assessment.
Before her graduate studies, Victoria gained experience working with young adults experiencing serious mental illness, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has worked in community based clinics, hospitals and research clinics affiliated with Harvard Medical School and the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. Victoria believes in working collaboratively with clients to create a safe, welcoming, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment that is person-centered and emotionally focused.
Outside of work, Victoria enjoys running, true crime podcasts and spending time with her new rescue puppy.
