Welcome!

Join us as we explore a few of the neighborhoods that make New York City the vibrant metropolis it is!

We travel through Queens from Astoria to Jackson Heights to Flushing, sampling some of the food and mingling with the diverse residents in each of the areas. We also have a profile on Inwood, the northernmost neighborhood of Manhattan.

With us, you can stop by an Egyptian hookah bar in Astoria. Then you can try some authentic Chinese cuisine in Flushing. Afterwards, you may want to look at some of the stores with Indian fashion found in Jackson Heights. And in Inwood, you will find churches reciting their prayers in Spanish.

We focus not only on what these unique neighborhoods are like today, but also delve into the histories of each of them. In addition, you will find descriptions of the demographics of each area, showing the diversity that can only be found in New York City. There are a couple of pages about the various landmarks or points of interest in these places. And of course, we have sections dedicated to some of the food that you can try in the neighborhoods.

Through all of these aspects, we try to show the diversity of each neighborhood, which contributes to the overall diversity of our city. After all, New York City is not simply a melting pot of ethnicities, but rather a boiling cauldron filled to the brim with cultures and ideas from around the globe.
