Founded in the 1880’s, this is the only Catholic, and generally Christian, site of worship in Brighton Beach. The Church is part of a conglomerate of neighborhood parishes, including Our Lady of Solace, Most Precious Blood, Our Lady of Grace, and St. Mark’s churches. For over one hundred years, Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Chuch has provided the community with a house of worship that caters to the needs of a diverse group of people. Services are conducted in Polish, English, Filipino, and Spanish, and the church is affiliated with numerous community organizing associations that assist each of these respective groups.
