Other Tools
The tools list compiled by participants in the SAA “Old Words, New Tools” seminar was extensive. The ones listed below draw from the seminar list with a few additions. In all instances the tools below are at least partly open to public use (i.e., that do not require a personal or institutional subscription). Some obvious and essential online resources, like Early English Books Online (EBBO) and The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) are not included because they require a subscription. A few of the tools are explored in more detail in the subsequent parts of this section. Please feel free to comment on any of the tools listed or offer suggestions of others to add to the list.
