Demographics

The current population of Jackson Heights is estimated at 183004 (from the 2010 census). It’s high appeal to immigrants and rise in housing stock has made it one of the most densely populated areas of New York City. The population density is shown in this map, with the key below. 

Jackson Height's appeal has also made it the most diverse neighborhood in Queens, NY, and one of the most diverse in NYC. The most common group found there is Hispanic, followed by Caucasian, and then Asian (with other smaller groups as well). The table above shows the basic population breakdown by race.
