“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
As a child, this question is wonderfully exciting. It invites a new answer every day (or every mintute)–I’m going to be an astrounaut! A doctor! A movie star! A circle!

But somewhere between high school and college, the question changes.
“What do you want to do with your life?”

I spent my last two days in Ireland checking out Belfast and the Northern Coast (where one of my Aunts lives) with my dad. Enjoy the pics!

After going out with my Dad and Uncles to the local pub last night, we again had a quiet day. We visited my grandmother’s grave, and then drove around the area with my Grandpa, taking in some of the sights…

This morning was a visit to my Dad’s Aunt (my Great Aunt!) and her husband, who live in Dungarvon. They were also very hospitable, and fed us lunch. Like my Dad’s friend Liam, they were sad we weren’t staying longer and encouraged us to come back in summer when the weather is nicer (and the tickets and hotels are more expensive! Yesterday was mostly filled by a visit to my Dad’s friend Liam (and some more driving!) though we did get to go to Waterford crystal in the morning. They have a small factory inside the city and though it was clearly built for tourist visits, it’s really nice.
Tuesday morning was Dublin Day 2, and it started relatively late, with breakfast at around 845. My dad and I then set off for a walk across Dublin to the Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin’s jail from the turn of the 19th century until 1926, and the site where the leaders of the 1916 Rebellion were executed.
