Bowne Park is located between College Point and Auburndale in Queens. At 11.29 acres, this public property has various aspects and utilities that attract nearby residents. The park is often frequented by Italians, Italian-Americans, Koreans and Chinese. Each ethnicity uses the park in different ways. Italians use the park for playing a favorite pastime, bocce. Italian-Americans use the park for recreational sports such as basketball and soccer. Koreans use the park mostly for jogging, walking and spending time with their children. Chinese use the park mainly for Tai Chi and other aerobic exercises.
