I’m in your boat man I think that art encompasses everything, I mean everything we do is, in it’s own way art, but as we talked about in class, does art have to me consciously made? Or can it be the aftermath of the Earth going through its seasons and cycles? I don’t think art has to be consciously made. Take a 1 year old baby for example, if you give it paint, it’ll just throw the paint everywhere, not knowing what’s going on, but the result of that mindless flinging of paint can be art.

I never really thought about the necessity of combining the sciences and the arts, but I totally agree with you. They are both very intertwined, and society needs to stop trying to separate the two. I feel as though the world is constantly trying to make these two disciplines compete when what we really need to do is let them work together. I also agree when you say that art is any form of self-expression.
