Macaulay Honors College Top Public University

For the fifth consecutive year, Macaulay Honors College has earned 5 mortarboards, the highest rating among public university honors colleges and programs. The scores are based on data compiled by Public University Honors, an organization that evaluates schools using criteria including the number of honors classes offered, overall class size, ratio of staff to students, priority registration and prestigious awards received.

In the 2020-2021 rankings, Macaulay is one of just seven schools to achieve a 5 out of 5 designation, with only one other program in the Northeast to have received this top rating. Ratings are detailed in a print guide, Inside Honors: Ratings and Reviews of Sixty Public University Honors Programs.

Macaulay students have received offers and fellowships to top graduate and professional schools, including Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Duke, Stanford, the University of California/Berkeley, CUNY and Oxford. They also have received awards and fellowships such as the Rhodes, Truman, Goldwater, Fulbright, Salk, Coro, Beinecke, National Science Foundation, and NYC Urban Fellowships.
