The Joseph M. Schor Reading Room is now open (with some safety restrictions, of course) for quiet study!
Beginning on August 30, 2021, students can individually make a reservation to use Macaulay’s quiet, spacious, air conditioned reading room for 3 hours at a time. You’ll be able to use the bathroom, the printer, and eat food from outside.
WHERE: The Reading Room is located in Macaulay’s lobby at 35 West 67th Street.
WHEN: 3-hour slots Monday through Friday during the hours of 10am-1pm; 2pm-5pm; and 6pm-9pm. The room is closed for cleaning twice during the day.
WHO: Only approved students, faculty, and staff will be admitted.
HOW TO RESERVE: Register through Club Macaulay. Register at least two business days in advance.
HOW TO ENTER THE BUILDING: You will be asked to meet Macaulay’s building entry requirements.
ONCE YOU’RE THERE: Please maintain social distancing and keep your mask on (unless you’re eating).
WHAT ABOUT OTHER SPACES? Right now, the Reading Room may only be used for individual study. Soon we will announce space availability for student club and for private tele-counseling sessions.
Log into CLUB MACAULAY, navigate to events, then select STUDY SPACE in Event Types or click here!
As with everything pandemic-related, these policies will change. New building openings will be posted on Macaulay’s social media channels and in Macaulay Monday student news. Contact Sara Mazes at email@example.com with questions.
