Me, I thought it was pretty good. It was interesting seeing Dostoyevsky's view on Siberian prisons, which seem quite different from our prisons. For one thing, they have to wear shackles and they get to have all sorts of anemities such as alcohol and pipes, or they at least get away with it easily. And to think we think of cigarettes as such a hot commodity in prisons, since so many of the prisoners in House of the Dead seem to have pipes. And they get to have a dog too? And put on plays?

http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09/content/house-dead#comments The Arts Mon, 30 Nov 2009 02:40:47 +0000 Alex Greetham 426 at http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09 Guggenheim http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09/content/guggenheim
I have never been to the Guggenheim Musuem. The dancing will be incredible, I guarantee that. If anyone wants to come, I think you will greatly enjoy it. The venue is beautiful and your not paying for a trip halfway around the world to see it. The date is November 29th.

LET ME KNOWWW IF YOU WANT TO COME AND WATCH WITH MEEE!!!=)))
http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09/content/dance-nyc#comments The Arts Mon, 19 Oct 2009 03:45:33 +0000 Jolene 222 at http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09 Reflections... http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09/content/reflections
Fill in the blanks!

Before this class I thought _______________________________________.

Now that I'm in this class I am wondering ___________________________.

After this class I hope to _________________________________________.
http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09/content/reflections#comments The Arts Sun, 27 Sep 2009 00:42:15 +0000 ebergman 147 at http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09 Art as Self-Expression? http://macaulay.cuny.edu/seminars/bergman09/content/art-self-expression
In his essay, "Tradition and the Individual Talent," T.
