About Deven
Deven Xie is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science where he was deeply engaged in studying the sciences. He has always been curious of how everything in the world works since he was a child. Naturally, he developed a keen interest in science and technology.
During his junior year of at Science, Deven became involved in electrical engineering research at Columbia University. He entered a paper titled "Analysis of photodiode pixels of active CMOS biochip array" into the Intel Science Talent Search and participated in the New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF). After becoming exposed to this field, Deven developed a deep interest in pursuing it further.
He is now majoring in electrical engineering while attending the Macaulay Honors College at City College. Though an electrical engineering major, Deven enjoys to dive into things outside of his major. He participated in building a Mini Baja race car in the Society of Automotive Engineers, and will be soon working on the upcoming Honors College Literary Magazine (HoCoLit).
Deven aspires to start his own technology firm with the hopes of competing with the likes Microsoft, Apple, and Google. He enjoys everything tech, from gadgets to video games, so why not design his own?
