Macaulay Honors Seminar 2 with Deborah Gardner

WELCOME to Dominican New York. As a part of Seminar 2: The Peopling of New York City, Professor Deborah S. Gardner's class, we decided to focus on two separate immigrant groups: the Dominican and the Chinese. This website is dedicated to studying the history and culture of Dominican Immigrants in New York City. Through this interactive media we plan to channel the various movements, accomplishments, neighborhoods, and institutions of the growing number of Dominicans in New York City. With the aid of maps, photos, slide shows, videos and personal interviews, we hope to provide a better understanding of the Dominican New York. ENJOY!
