Student Film Production: Resources

MySpace Videos

The assignment: Each student will be expected to prepare a persuasive film/video presentation of approximately five minutes relative to their research papers. These films/videos shall be posted on YouTube. The purpose of the films/videos is to educate/advertise/sell each student’s vision of NYC. Students are required to include a link on their MySpace page to their YouTube films/videos.

 

Pre-production: Get organized

 There are a number of things you need to consider BEFORE you start recording.

·      Camera

·      Sound

·      Lighting

·      Scripting/Storyboarding

Promotion: So, you’ve created an educational and persuasive movie about your vision for the city. How are you going to make sure the right people see it?
