How do I peer review someone’s writing?

Where can I find an example short essay?

Tips about email correspondence

  • Please feel free to write to me at my campus address: nico.israel@hunter.cuny.edu.
  • When you write me, please put your name and the course title in the subject line, so I know who you are; e.g. From  Arts NYC student Joe Jones.   If your email is urgent, please write URGENT in all caps, e.g. URGENT–from  Arts NYC student Joe Jones.  I am trying to confine my email time to manageable segments over the course of the week, so please don’t get discouraged if I don’t respond  right away.
  • Concerning your greeting, it is nicer to read “Dear Professor Israel” than “Hey Prof” or a greeting-less email.

How do I embed video into my post?

  • In another window find the video you want to embed. Copy the entire “embed code” (on youtube this is on the right in a framed and labeled box). Back in the blog, open a new post by clicking on “write” and then “post.” Switch to the HTML editor tab (instead of Visual which is the default). Paste the “embed code” into the posting area.

You can add your own text before or after the video code, just make a new paragraph.

How do I make a comment on a post?

  • Click on the post to which you wish to reply. A new area will appear, just type away! Click “submit comment” when you are finished.

How do I change my password?

  • After you log in, you will see “profile” in light blue on the right-hand side of the window. Click “profile” and scroll down to the “new password” area. Follow the instructions. Write your new password down somewhere - Meredith will not have access to the password.

Apple is running a “buy a computer, get an iPod” education sale. Why didn’t I get a free iPod with my computer?

  • This special offer is only applicable to students who buy their own computer. Your MacBook was  purchased by Macaulay and, as an institution, Macaulay was not eligible for the deal.
