Welcome to our website! It explores the nature of diversity in Jackson Heights, New York. We are interested in the neighborhood's culture and political economy, and focus in particular on the role of civic groups, the real estate industry, and government in shaping the neighborhood. Many questions will be answered, and many more will be raised. To begin, we explore the validity of the widely held view that Jackson Heights is a pluralistic paradise.
