Hello! My name is Matt and this is my user page. I am a student at Macaulay Honors College at Queens College, part of the graduating class of 2013. I am originally from Sayville, a town in Suffolk County, New York, but I currently reside at the dorms on campus. I am also an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 76. I am majoring in Music Education at the Aaron Copland School of Music. My main instrument is the trumpet, which I have been playing since I was 10. I have played in my schools' Wind Ensembles and Jazz Bands, both of which are so much fun. In addition to the trumpet, I am also learning to play piano, guitar, and bass clarinet. My goal is to one day be a high school band director.
Aside from my major, I like to go camping, play Frisbee, and play video games. My scout troop went to many different places to go camping and hiking, such as Pennsylvania, upstate New York, and New Mexico. I began playing Ultimate Frisbee on a team this past semester, when the CUNY Ultimate team was formed. I am currently Vice President at the Queens branch. As for video games, I have been a huge nerd since I was 8, owning almost every Nintendo system. My most recent gaming interest is Pokemon: Soul Silver (yes, Pokemon) and I am perfectly fine with saying that.
